Muchas veces recibimos audios pues esta opción es mucho más práctica que escribir largos mensajes, ¿pero qué sucede con aquellos que desconocemos su origen y no estamos seguros de su procedencia? Afortunadamente para esto hay formas de reconocer un audio falso o fake en WhatsApp.
De acuerdo con el Informe Digital 2020 que publicó We Are Social en conjunto con Hootsuite, una de las aplicaciones más utilizadas para difundir información falsa –imágenes, noticias, videos y audios falsos– es WhatsApp.
¿Reenviado?
Hay muchas veces que recibimos algún archivo de algún contacto de confianza pero que este indica que ha sido “reenviado”. Si el audio que escuchaste de entrada ya es un poco inverosímil, alarmante o no detalla la fuente que respalde cierta información, y es reenviado, puedes sospechar que ese audio no es real.
Rastrea la fuente original
El primer paso sería preguntar directamente a la persona que te envió dicho audio, cuál es su origen, quién se lo mandó o si tiene alguna certeza de que esta información sea real.
De esta manera es que hay miles de archivos y audios circulando por WhatsApp que han sido reenviados una infinidad de ocasiones, por lo cual conocer el origen de estos es prácticamente imposible, así que lo mejor será dejar de reenviarlos para parar esa cadena.
Corrobora con fuentes adicionales
Si te ha quedado la duda, el siguiente paso que debes tener en cuenta, es buscar en tu navegador preferido de Internet la misma información. De esta manera, tu buscador te arrojará, en la mayoría de los casos, docenas de resultados. Fíjate en los medios que consultas e inclínate por aquellos que sean de renombre. En estos muchas veces, se desmiente la información. Así podrás estar seguro que si tal diario nacional aborda que se está difundiendo un audio que habla de algo falso, ahora podrás estar seguro de esto.
Ten en cuenta que hay muchos programas que permiten editar contenidos de audios, modificar su orden e intención, incluso con la voz de tal personaje.

So you can be sure that if such a national newspaper reports that an audio is being broadcast that talks about something false, you can be sure of this now.
