Durante todo el drama de Huawei con el bloqueo comercial que le ha impuesto Estados Unidos ha habido grandes momentos de incertidumbre sobre el futuro de nuevos modelos lanzados por la compañía.
Pero muchos vivían con el conforte y la certeza de que sus terminales de 2018 y principios de 2019 estarían a salvo.
Con la garantía de seguir recibiendo soporte y actualizaciones tanto de Android como de los servicios de Google. Pero resulta que no.
El Washington Post destapó todo con la publicación de un artículo, en donde revelan que en realidad los smartphones Huawei vendidos antes del 16 de mayo de 2019 contaban con una licencia temporal (Temporary General License, o TGL) que permitía mantenerlos actualizados.

Pero dicha licencia habría expirado ya y técnicamente los modelos ya no se ecuentran en condiciones de ser soportados.
Por las fechas y los periodos de vida de los sistemas operativos algunos de los modelos potencialmente expuestos a este problema serían:

- P20 Pro (2018)
- P20 Lite (Nova 3e)
- P Smart + (Nova 3i)
- P Smart (2019)
- P Smart Z (2019)
- P30 (2019)
- Mate 20 (2018)
- Mate 20 Pro (2018)

- Mate 20 X (2018)
- Mate 20 Porsche RS (2018)
Pero todo esto se encuentra en el limbo y no es en sí un hecho definitivo. Ya que la regulación de estos bloqueos se encuentra relativamente suspendida por la contingencia y no se han distribuido los fondos necesarios para hacer la transición requerida en infraestructura.
Así que existe la firme posibilidad de que esta licencia se extienda de manera indefinida.

But all this is in limbo and is not in itself a definitive fact. Since the regulation of these blockages is relatively suspended due to contingency and the necessary funds to make the required transition in infrastructure have not been distributed.
So there is a strong possibility that this license will be extended indefinitely.
