NETFLIX: DEJARÀ DE FUNCIONAR EN ALGUNAS VERSIONES DE ANDROID

Con cerca de 135 millones de usuarios en todo el mundo, Netflix es un referente del contenido OTT y una plataforma de contenido multimedia en streaming que cada día  más y más personas pagan su suscripción. Sin embargo, en su próxima actualización dejará de ser compatible con varios celulares que utilizan versiones más antiguas del sistema operativo de Google.

Algunos usuarios se enteraron que no podían actualizar Netflix en su última versión y no podían ingresar más para ver sus series y películas favoritas.

Según se lee en la nueva actualización de Netflix, aquellos celulares que utilizen la versión Android 5.0 (Lollipop) o versiones anteriores no podrán utilizar la aplicación en sus dispositivos. En ese sentido, para utilizar la plataforma es necesario tener como mínimo una superior a esa. 

Entonces, tanto celulares como tabletas que tengan esta versión o inferior no serán compatible y, por lo tanto, los usuarios tendrá que actualizar sus dispositivos o utilizar un smartv o un computador para poder seguir consumiendo su contenido.

Este tipo de actualizaciones son normales y algunas otras aplicaciones también las hacen para dejar de prestar respaldo a dispositivos antiguos, de hecho, hace poco tiempo, WhatsApp también anunció cuáles dispositivos dejarían de ser compatibles con la plataforma de mensajería instantánea.

However, in its next update it will no longer be compatible with several cell phones that use older versions of Google's operating system.


Some users found that they could not update Netflix to its latest version and could no longer log in to watch their favorite series and movies.

According to the new Netflix update, those phones that use Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or earlier versions will not be able to use the application on their devices. In that sense, to use the platform it is necessary to have at least one superior to that. 


Then, both cell phones and tablets that have this version or lower will not be compatible and, therefore, users will have to upgrade their devices or use a smartv or computer to continue consuming their content.




These types of updates are normal and some other applications also do them to stop supporting old devices. In fact, a short time ago, WhatsApp also announced which devices would no longer be compatible with the instant messaging platform.
