La nueva estrategia de engaño se trata de un mensaje que está siendo compartido por la aplicación de mensajería instantánea WhatsApp, en donde suplantan la identidad de la empresa Adidas y le ofrecen supuestamente a las personas tapabocas reutilizables gratis de dicha marca.
El mensaje redirecciona al usuario a un enlace falso que simula a la página de Adidas. Una vez allí, se le indica a la persona que la compañía, en el marco de la pandemia, está realizando una donación de miles de tapabocas.
En el sitio web falso se le solicita en un primer momento responder unas preguntas relacionadas al uso del tapabocas y medidas de bioseguridad. En este proceso, le piden al usuario que comparta la información a sus contactos en WhatsApp.
Posteriormente, dirigen a la persona a otra página en donde le sugieren descargar una aplicación maliciosa, que supuestamente va a optimizar el funcionamiento del equipo, la cual puede robar la información personal y privada que se encuentra dentro del dispositivo. Es importante que si recibe este tipo de mensaje no lo abra, ni tampoco lo comparta con sus conocidos.
Por lo tanto, si por casualidad recibes un mensaje de esos ¡no lo abras!.
