Lo que muchos desconocen es que también sirve para compartir la ubicación. Para ello basta con pedírselo al contacto en cuestión, que tendrá que hacer lo siguiente si tiene un móvil Android:
- Abrir WhatsApp y entrar en la conversación de la persona con la que se quiera compartir la ubicación.
- Pinchar en el símbolo en forma de clip que aparece a la derecha del chat y darle a "Ubicación".
- Después habrá que aceptar los permisos que solicita WhatsApp y escoger entre la ubicación actual o la ubicación en tiempo real.
La diferencia entre ambas reside en que la primera es una ubicación estática, mientras que la segunda opción es capaz de enviar la ubicación en tiempo real durante un tiempo determinado, incluso si el usuario se está moviendo. Para quitarlo habrá que desactivarla manualmente o escoger entre los lapsos de tiempo ofrecidos (15 minutos, una hora u ocho horas).
¿Y en iPhone?
El proceso a seguir en iPhone es muy parecido al detallado para hacerlo en Android:
- Abre WhatsApp y entra en la conversación del contacto al que quieras compartir ubicación.
- Pincha en el símbolo de suma (+) que se encuentra a la izquierda del chat y selecciona "Ubicación".
Como en el caso anterior, debes conceder los permisos (si te los pide la app) y escoger entre compartir la ubicación actual o en tiempo real. No te olvides de desactivar la opción cuando no estés usándola, ya que consume bastante batería.
