El coronavirus ha abierto puertas en Tinder. Una de ellas es la de la función Cara a Cara, para realizar videochats mas entretenidas.
Estos ayudan a cerrar el espacio entre los chats de texto y las citas personales. Mientras se encuentren limitadas las movilidades por el COVID-19, el video siempre ayudará a tender puentes.
Los videochats estuvieron a prueba en el verano de 2020, y un par de meses después ya se hizo extensible de forma oficial.
Cara a Cara solo funciona si los dos usuarios se ponen de acuerdo. Simplemente deben tocar el icono de video. Si la otra persona está interesada, lo hará también.
Esta función puede ser desactivada en cualquier momento, según explica la aplicación.
Lo importante es que ambas personas dejen claras las reglas de respeto mutuo. “La conversación es una calle de dos vías, y es mejor cuando están juntos 50-50”, afirmó Tinder en un comunicado.
Al finalizar el videochat, la aplicación pedirá las opiniones de los usuarios, para saber si hubo algún problema durante el contacto.
Las recomendaciones de Tinder para los videochats
Tinder recomendó, para romper el hielo, ir despacio en la fase del texto antes de ir al video, como lo explica Engadget. Además, las personas deben ser flexibles con el tiempo para las videollamadas.
Otra de las sugerencias es sobre la decoración de fondo, colocando objetos que puedan servir para intercambiar opiniones. Cualquier cosa que se coloque debe tener algún significado especial para el usuario.
También previene sobre el acoso o los irrespetos a ambos usuarios.
“Una conversación cara a cara es, simplemente, una mejor manera de saber si eres compatible con alguien”, señala Tinder.
Hasta los momentos, el servicio se está implementando en Estados Unidos y el Reino Unido. A Latinoamérica también llegó: Brasil, Chile y Perú son tres de los países donde se puede utilizar.

At the end of the videochat, the application will ask for the users' opinions, to know if there was any problem during the contact.
Tinder's recommendations for videochats
Tinder recommended, to break the ice, to go slowly in the text phase before going to the video, as Engadget explains. In addition, people should be flexible over time for video calls.
Another suggestion is about the background decoration, placing objects that can be used to exchange opinions. Anything that is placed should have some special meaning to the user.
It also warns about harassment or disrespect to both users.
"A face-to-face conversation is simply a better way to know if you are compatible with someone," says Tinder.
So far, the service is being implemented in the United States and the United Kingdom. It has also arrived in Latin America: Brazil, Chile and Peru are three of the countries where it can be used.
