Sucedió de una manera tan sutil que apenas y nos percatamos. Este 13 de octubre durante el Apple Event para presentar el iPhone 12 hubo un pequeño detalle que tal vez muchos de perdieron.
Sucedió en esa parte tremendamente aburrida donde hablaban de cómo la empresa trabajaba a favor del medio ambiente reduciendo su generación de contaminantes y basura.
Se mostró ahí la caja que contendría el iPhone 12 y era posible percatarse de algo curioso: era mucho más estilizada, pero porque el empaque había adelgazado mucho.
Esto tiene una explicación obvia: es menos voluminoso todo porque el iPhone 12 ya no cuenta con el cargador de pared ni los tradicionales EarPods.
Fue así como de manera sutil se confirmó visualmente que este dispositivo vendría libre de accesorios, supuestamente para ayudar a la ecología.
Pero no vamos a negar que debe ser también un buen punto para nivelar ganancias en el negocio y recortar costos si todos los terminales de esa generación son 5G.
El punto de la controversia mayor llegó poco después, cuando Apple liberó los comunicados oficiales en su Newsroom y repasamos lo hablado en ese segmento somnífero y el cierre de la presentación.
Adiós regalos
En la recta final del evento se mostró la lista de precios de los terminales aún "vigentes" en el catálogo de Apple, y todo vendría con un nuevo reempaque con cajas igual de delgadas que el iPhone 12. Lo que significa sólo dos cosas:
- Modelos "viejos" del iPhone ya tampoco tendrán cargador y audífonos EarPods de regalo.
- Es más barato fabricar cajas de reemplazo más delgadas que regalar ese par de accesorios.
Estos cambios, según reportan los colegas de BGR aplicaría sólo al iPhone SE, iPhone XR y iPhone 11. Así que si van a un punto de venta y ven las nuevas cajas ya saben por qué es.

This has an obvious explanation: it is less bulky all because the iPhone 12 no longer has the wall charger or the traditional EarPods.
So it was subtly confirmed visually that this device would come free of accessories, supposedly to help the ecology.
But let's not deny that it must also be a good point to level out profits in the business and cut costs if all the terminals of that generation are 5G.
The point of major controversy came shortly after, when Apple released the official announcements in its Newsroom and we reviewed what was discussed in that sleep segment and the closing of the presentation.
Goodbye gifts
In the final stretch of the event, the price list of the terminals still "in force" in the Apple catalog was shown, and everything would come with a new repackaging with boxes just as thin as the iPhone 12:
This means only two things: "Old" iPhone models will no longer have a charger and EarPods for free.
It's cheaper to make thinner replacement boxes than to give away that pair of accessories.
These changes, BGR colleagues report, would apply only to the iPhone SE, iPhone XR, and iPhone 11. So if you go to a point of sale and see the new boxes, you know why.
