Los usuarios que busquen una herramienta similar a Screen2GIF tendrán una nueva alternativa en Windows 10 gracias a las PowerToys. El equipo liderado por Clint Rutkas está trabajando en añadir la captura de vídeo a la famosa aplicación, con el objetivo de aumentar la productividad del usuario gracias a una herramienta simple que se integre con el sistema operativo.
PowerToys vuelve a solucionar otro problema de Windows 10
La interfaz que tendrá esta herramienta de PowerToys es muy similar a la aplicación Recortes y anotación, que ya disfrutamos en Windows 10 para realizar las capturas de pantalla. Al pulsar la combinación de teclas Windows + R, la pantalla se oscurecerá y podremos elegir si queremos capturar una ventana, un área que elijamos o la pantalla al completo.
Igual que en la app Recortes y anotación, dispondremos de un pequeño editor para recortar el clip o superponer texto sobre el vídeo. También, tendremos la posibilidad de elegir entre guardarlo como archivo de vídeo o GIF. Como no podía ser de otra manera, podremos elegir la resolución de guardado y eliminar el audio del sistema.
El objetivo es ofrecer de forma sencilla la posibilidad de capturar vídeo en Windows 10. Por lo tanto, no contaremos con características como la grabación de cámara o micrófono externo. En ese caso, tendremos que disponer de herramientas de terceros como ShareX o Camtasia.

PowerToys solves another Windows 10 problem
The interface that this PowerToys tool will have is very similar to the application Clipping and Annotation, which we already enjoy in Windows 10 to make the screenshots. By pressing the key combination Windows + R, the screen will darken and we can choose whether we want to capture a window, an area we choose or the entire screen.
Just like in the Trimming and Annotation app, we will have a small editor to trim the clip or superimpose text over the video. Also, we will have the possibility to choose between saving it as a video or GIF file. As it could not be otherwise, we will be able to choose the saving resolution and remove the audio from the system.
The objective is to offer in a simple way the possibility of capturing video in Windows 10. Therefore, we will not have features such as camera or external microphone recording. In that case, we will have to have third party tools such as ShareX or Camtasia.
The tool is in the early stages of development, with the team collecting suggestions in GitHub. This way, Windows 10 users will see one of their biggest requests satisfied.
